Chain integrity
Correct handling of difficulty, chain selection, reorganizations, rewards and invalid block rejection.
SECURITY ENGINEERING
SYPcoin prioritizes defensible monetary invariants, block validation, P2P reliability, software distribution and wallet safety. Absolute security cannot be promised. No independent external audit or security certification is claimed.
DEFENSE IN DEPTH
A mining algorithm alone cannot secure users or their funds.
Correct handling of difficulty, chain selection, reorganizations, rewards and invalid block rejection.
Signature, contract, issuance and conflicting-spend validation with positive and negative test cases.
Traceable versions, reproducible builds where feasible, trusted publication and integrity checks.
THREAT MODEL
This page discusses categories of risk without exposing confidential attack details.
Resource exhaustion, malicious peers, interrupted nodes and unsafe assumptions about propagated state.
Sensitive data handling, backup and recovery, separation between network software and private-key custody.
Compatibility, dependency changes and repeatable tests to avoid reintroducing corrected vulnerabilities.
WHAT HAS NOT BEEN CERTIFIED
Results in one component do not certify the entire blockchain.
Experimental monetary and UTXO tests exist, but they are not a comprehensive adversarial protocol audit.
Stress, latency, network abuse and independent multi-node behavior need further testing.
There is no published completed external audit or claim that SYPcoin is among the safest cryptocurrencies.
RESPONSIBLE DISCLOSURE
Security reports require a safe intake and coordinated response process.
Do not post private keys, secrets or live exploit instructions in public GitHub issues.
A remediation should include an impact assessment, regression tests and traceable versions.
A dedicated confidential vulnerability reporting channel has not been announced. The public web issue tracker is not a substitute.
No SYPcoin wallet or node download is endorsed until an official reviewable release exists. No security audit or guarantee is implied by passing lab tests.
In v41.3, one SYPcoin native GPU-mined height-1 block (AMD/Linux) was accepted and retained by two private JVM nodes (H11/H12). This follows the earlier P2P-only test (H23), but does not prove complete consensus, safe reorganizations or an independent audit. In v41.4 a height-2 candidate was signed offline and R3 passed 10/10 focused tests; block 2 is not yet mined or accepted. Block validation scope · Partial consensus.
