Graphics hardware
Evaluate practical mining on consumer GPUs while studying risks of specialized hardware advantage.
MINING / GPU EFFICIENCY
SYPcoin targets vendor-agnostic GPU Proof-of-Work. In v41.3 an AMD RX 7900 XTX on Kubuntu/Linux produced one native SYPcoin block accepted by two private nodes. Public mining, Windows and other GPU vendors remain unverified; no official miner is available.
DESIGN PRINCIPLES
Optimization cannot compromise consensus or hide the real operating cost.
Evaluate practical mining on consumer GPUs while studying risks of specialized hardware advantage.
Separate device readings from whole-system energy consumption and state measurement conditions.
Measure accepted work, stability, thermal limits and recovery from errors over comparable test periods.
CURRENT LAB BASIS
The earlier Ergo devnet GPU experiment was not native SYPcoin mining. In v41.3 the experimental Autolykos2 GPU path on RX 7900 XTX/Kubuntu produced one native SYPcoin block at height 1, accepted and persisted by two private JVM nodes (H12). A public miner and a mined height-2 block remain pending.
A controlled local setup allows mining and node behavior to be tested, but it is not a public SYPcoin chain.
In v41.3 a newly GPU-mined native SYPcoin block was accepted by two private nodes. This specific height-1 success does not prove full consensus or subsequent blocks.
Mining design and parameter choices remain subject to security, energy, fairness and implementation reviews.
ROADMAP · NOT CERTIFIED HARDWARE
The consensus protocol will accept valid PoW regardless of GPU vendor. Actual miner compatibility depends on drivers, APIs, VRAM, compute capabilities and cooling: not every graphics card can be promised support.
One native GPU-mined height-1 block accepted by two private SYPcoin nodes in v41.3. No public release or sustained benchmark.
Next: test the miner on the same AMD GPU under Windows, then study optional energy optimization. No confirmed results yet.
After AMD/Windows, develop and validate NVIDIA mining first, then any optional tuning profiles. NVIDIA/Linux follows in later testing.
Study when suitable physical cards and driver support are available. No blanket vendor or old-GPU compatibility certification is claimed.
MODULAR MINING SOFTWARE
Miners will not have to install an optimizer or build their own in order to participate.
Validates blocks, transactions and PoW, without vendor-specific power limits, fan curves, clock settings or GPU driver controls.
Receive jobs, compute solutions and submit candidates for validation. Each OS/vendor combination requires real testing before distribution; no exact GPU model is required by consensus.
A future tool to measure hashes per joule (hashes/J), power, temperatures and stability, offering conservative configurable AMD/NVIDIA profiles according to OS and permissions. No universal overclocking or validated public download.
MEASUREMENT FRAMEWORK
An experimental read-only AMDGPU monitoring tool passed 6/6 offline CI tests (H26). It reports sensors but has not adjusted GPU settings, mined native SYPcoin or demonstrated real energy savings. Hashrate alone is not accepted work.
State GPU-reported power, whole-machine consumption if measured, duration and the measurement method.
Track valid shares or newly accepted blocks, with the attribution and confirmation conditions made clear.
Monitor temperature, hotspot, memory, fan and driver behavior. Unverified voltage or frequency tweaks are not public recommendations.
AVAILABILITY
This website is an information source, not a working mining dashboard.
Consult documented tests and their limitations rather than claims of a launched network.
There are no SYPcoin miner, pool, public node parameters or wallet downloads available here.
Once tools exist, check their publisher, version, source, integrity checks and security requirements before running them.
Height 1 was mined on AMD RX 7900 XTX/Linux and retained by two private SYPcoin nodes (H11/H12). In v41.4-R2 a height-2 candidate was signed and verified offline; R3 passed 10/10 focused tests, but height 2 has not been mined or accepted. No public mining software, pool, or proven Windows/NVIDIA/Intel support exists.
